## 5. Frequently Asked Questions
### 1. Are there any additional fees when I make a purchase?
The price you see at checkout is the amount you pay, plus applicable taxes and shipping charges. However:
- If you pay with an international card, your bank may charge a **foreign currency conversion fee**.
- For orders shipped internationally, **customs duties and import taxes** may be due upon arrival and are the buyer's responsibility. See our [Shipping Policy](shipping-policy.md) for details.
### 2. My payment was declined. What should I do?
If your payment is declined, please try the following:
- Verify that your card details (card number, expiration date, CVV) and billing address are correct.
- Make sure your card has sufficient balance or available credit.
- Contact your bank or card issuer to check for security holds or transaction restrictions (3D Secure verification may be required).
- Try a different payment method (e.g., switch from credit card to PayPal).
If the issue persists, please contact our support team for assistance.
### 3. Can I change my payment method after placing an order?
Unfortunately, the payment method cannot be changed once an order has been placed. If you need to use a different payment method, please cancel the order (if it has not yet shipped) and place a new one.
### 4. How long do refunds take to process?
Refunds are returned to the **original payment method** used at the time of purchase. Processing times vary:
- **Credit/Debit Cards (via Airwallex):** 5–14 business days
- **PayPal:** 3–5 business days
- **Klarna:** Depends on the payment plan; Klarna will adjust your balance accordingly.
- **Local Payment Methods:** Processing times vary by method and region.
For EU/EEA and UK customers exercising their Right of Withdrawal, refunds are issued within **14 days**. For more details, see our [Refund Policy](refund-policy.md).
### 5. Is my personal payment information safe?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) and comply with PCI-DSS standards. Your full card information is processed solely by our certified payment processors and is never stored on our servers. We do not share or sell your personal payment information to third parties for marketing purposes.
### 6. Can I use multiple payment methods on a single order?
Currently, only **one payment method** can be used per order. However, you may combine a **gift card** or **store credit** with another payment method (the gift card/store credit is applied first, and the remaining balance is charged to your chosen payment method).
### 7. Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Gift cards are available for purchase on our website and can be redeemed at checkout. Any gift card balance exceeding the order total remains on the card for future purchases.
### 8. Will using Klarna or PayPal "Pay Later" affect my credit score?
Klarna and PayPal may perform a soft credit check when you apply for an installment plan, which typically does not affect your credit score. However, missed or late payments may be reported and could impact your credit rating. Please review the terms of your chosen payment provider for details.

## 6. Payment Disputes & Chargebacks
### What Is a Chargeback?
A chargeback is a transaction dispute initiated by the cardholder through their bank or credit card issuer, requesting a reversal of the charge. Chargebacks are intended as a consumer protection mechanism for fraud, unauthorized transactions, or legitimate disputes that cannot be resolved directly with the merchant.
### Our Position on Chargebacks
We maintain comprehensive records for every transaction, including order confirmations, shipping tracking, delivery confirmations, pre-shipment product documentation (photos, weight records, packing verification), and all customer communications. In the event of a chargeback, we will submit this evidence to the payment processor to contest the dispute where appropriate.
### Before Filing a Chargeback
We strongly encourage you to **contact us first** before initiating a chargeback with your bank. In most cases, your issue can be resolved more quickly and favorably through our customer service process. Common issues that can be resolved directly:
- **Unrecognized Charge:** Our store name may appear differently on your bank statement. Contact us with the charge amount and date, and we can help identify the transaction.
- **Product Issues:** Please contact our support team to initiate a return, exchange, or warranty claim through the proper channels. See our [Refund Policy](refund-policy.md) and [Warranty Policy](warranty-policy.md).
- **Delivery Issues:** If your order has not been received, check our [Shipping Policy](shipping-policy.md) and contact support with your tracking information.
### Consequences of Unresolved or Fraudulent Chargebacks
- If a chargeback is filed on an order that has been delivered, verified, and where the product or service was provided as described, we will contest it with full supporting evidence.
- If the chargeback is resolved in our favor by the payment processor (i.e., the dispute is found to be invalid), your bank will reinstate the charge.
- Accounts associated with confirmed fraudulent chargebacks (such as filing a chargeback while retaining the product, or filing a chargeback after a refund has already been issued) may be flagged. We reserve the right to restrict or suspend accounts, decline future orders, and pursue available legal remedies to recover losses caused by chargeback fraud.
- Repeated or patterned chargeback abuse may be reported to relevant fraud prevention networks.
